About Investing in Governance

Investing in Governance is a new board evaluation framework. Designed for charities and social enterprises, it enables you to compare your governance to current best practice and then make changes to improve performance.

The board evaluation framework has been developed by Stefan Kuchar as part of his Masters of Business Administration at Henley Business School during 2007-08. This has involved undertaking an extensive literature review of best governance practices from the UK and internationally. We tested the best practice findings in a research study with leading charities.

The Investing in Governance board evaluation framework has been subject to a lot of advice and input from trustees, chief executive's and governance experts during its development. The result is a unique board evaluation tool that is easy to use.

Investing in Governance is a social business whose mission is to improve the governance of UK charity and social enterprise boards.
